One thing I’ve learned so far from working in the non-profit world is that…not every non-profit strives to change the very systems that continue to marginalize people of color. I feel like sometimes they might even feed into those systems and instead continue to affirm their existence. That frustrates me the most…

What frustrates me even more…is MONEY. The way money floats in and out of non-profits. The way it’s able to control people…their time…their energy. The way it’s able to keep certain people who are supposed to be champions and leaders of their communities in chains. 

Damn.
